News: Gilas Pilipinas Needs To Adjust To Harder Basketball, Shorter Beds In Incheon Asian Games Gilas Pilipinas need some little adjusting to do in the Asian Games — the beds and basketballs. Molten usually supplies the basketball in Fiba-sanctioned competitions like the Fiba-Asia Championship and the Fiba World Cup. Even the PBA uses the Fiba Molten ball. But Molten won’t be used in the Asian Games. Korean sports brand Star Sports will be supplying all the official tournament balls in this year’s edition of the Asian Games here. That includes the basketballs. Aside from scouting their opponents, Gilas Pilipinas will also have to make adjustments to playing with the basketball, like they did for the first time during the team’s practice at the Songdo High School gym. “Kapag tinamaan ka ng bola, masakit. Matigas,” team official Rogelio Tulabot said in describing the basketballs. “But knowing our players, they’ll get used to it.” On their first night in the Athletes’ Village on Saturday after arriving from Manila, the players also had to adjust to their beds which turned out to be too small. “Ibinaba na lang namin sa sahig ‘yung kama.
