News: PBA San Mig Dealt 40-Point Beating By Former KBL Champs SK Knights In Seoul Tuneup Former Korean Basketball League champion Seoul SK Knights relied on intimidating presence of import Courtney Sims and their outside shooting to demolish PBA grand slam champion San Mig Super Coffee, 108-68, on Monday at the Jamsil Olympic Student Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. It was the second straight loss for the visiting Mixers, who are using their Korea trip as part of their offseason buildup in preparation for the PBA’s 40th season set to open on October 19. The 6-foot-11 Sims finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds and was a solid defensive presence for the Knights, the 2012-13 KBL champions. Sims, the 2009 NBA D-League tournament and All-Star MVP, also had plenty of help from Park Sang O, who fired 18 points, and Kim Min Soo, who added 16. “Magaling, malalaki at mga shooters karamihan,” said a San Mig staff. San Mig is currently 0-3 in preseason games, counting a 69-73 decision to Jeonju KCC Egis in Manila and a 66-79 loss to Wonju Dongbu Promy on Saturday in the Mixers first game in South Korea. The Mixers play Anyang KGC and another Korean ballclub this week before returning to Manila by Friday.
