News Release: Pangasinan elections peaceful - PNP BY: VENUS MAY H. SARMIENTO DAGUPAN CITY, Oct. 28 (PIA) – The barangay elections in vote-rich Pangasinan went peacefully despite the number of villages declared as areas of concern. Capt. Ryan Manongdo, public relations officer of Pangasinan police office, said all ballot boxes and election paraphernalia arrived in the 1,191 polling centers at 7:15 am and casting of votes immediately started. Manongdo said the Provincial Election Monitoring Center has yet to receive election-related incidents. On the eve of the elections, the number of barangays considered as areas of concern rose to 90 from in 30 towns which include four cities and 26 municipalities. Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino, Jr. cast his vote at 7:20 a.m. in Barangay Portic, Bugallon town.
