News Release from the Russellville Police Department: The Russellville Police Department made two arrests today (11/06/2013) in reference to threats concerning the Russellville Middle School. The two arrests were not connected except for the use of the same social media site. The first arrest this morning was a Russellville Junior High Student. She was charged with Falsely Communicating a Terroristic Threat and transported to Danville Juvenile Detention Center. The second arrest, late this afternoon, was a Russellville Middle School student, who was determined through our investigation to be the author (rms gossip girl) behind the threats made on the social media site. She was charged with Falsely Communicating a Terroristic Threat and transported to Danville Juvenile Detention Center. Russellville Police Investigators, FBI agents and the Latvian State Police have been working together on this investigation since Monday (11/04/13). The multi-jurisdictional effort from all agencies made these arrests possible. While the investigation is ongoing, information obtained by subpoenas, search warrants and interviews makes us confident that all suspects involved with these threats are in custody. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Russellville Middle School faculty and staff in helping throughout the investigation. The Russellville Police Department would also like to thank the community for their patience and understanding throughout this investigation. For further information on this release contact the Public Information Officer Drew Latch at 479-968-3232.
