News from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) registrar office... Due to unavoidable circumstances, the scheduled B.Sc in CSE program is postponed. Instead, A new BSc (Hons) in ICT program is being launched wef January 2015. Those who have already submitted their Admission Processing Fee for B.Sc in CSE program and interested to apply in BSc (Hons) in ICT program need not to apply again. Their Application will be converted to BSc (Hons) in ICT Program. Those who are not interested for Applying in BSc (Hons) in ICT program, can withdraw their Admission Processing Fee (Taka 500/=) from Faculty Office, FST, BUP. (Contact: 01769021809, 01719792158) Application Period : 01 December 2014 (Sunday) to 31 December 2014 (Wednesday) Publication of Eligible Candidates : 05 January 2015 (Monday) Written Test : 09 January 2015 (Friday) Result of Written Test : 12 January 2015 (Monday) Viva-voce/Interview Schedule : 14 Jan (Wed) – 15 Jan (Thu) 2015 Publication of Final Result : 17 January 2015 (Saturday) Admission Starts From : 1 8 Jan (Sun) to 21 Jan (Wed) 2015 Class Commences : 2 5 January 2015 (Sunday) Eligibility Criteria: Minimum GPA 4.5 out of 5.0 in SSC/ Dhakhil, or “A” grade average in 5 subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & English in O-Level. And Minimum GPA 4.5/5.0 in HSC/Alim, or, “B” grade separately in at least 3 subjects including Math, Physics & Chemistry in A-Level. For Foreign students: As applicable for Bangladeshi civil students and security clearance from respective Embassy or High Commission in Bangladesh. Selection Process: Admission test will be MCQ. Total Marks 100, and syllabus will include topics from Math (40), Physics (30), Chemistry (20) & English (10) from HSC or equivalent examinations. Minimum qualifying marks for the written test is 50%. Final selection criteria will also include GPA/ grade obtained in SSC/OLevel/ Dhakhil or equivalent and HSC/A-Level/Alim or equivalent examinations. N.B.
