News from the Wildlife Rehabilitation centre: “Among our recent admissions over the past week was this 18 month-old Large Spotted Genet. The genet was brought in by a local resident , where it had been causing problems by coming into peoples’ homes in search of food. While many people like to blame the animals in cases such as these, many fail to realize it is normally humans that are causing the problem in the first place by feeding the wild animal and causing it to associate humans with food. PLEASE everyone, don’t feed our wild animals, you are inadvertently doing more harm than good!” To help out at this volunteer placement, please take a look at this webpage for more information: travellersworldwide/08c-south-africa/08-sa-crow.htm #volunteer #gapyear #conservation #wildlife #genet
