News have reached me that one of our talented and gifted sons, our international tenor, Blaise Pascal , is gravely ill. The Pascal family are very well known in Vieux Fort. Indeed, many will remember the matriarch of that family, "Ma Boy". After several years abroad, Blaise returned to Saint Lucia from time to time, to share his extraordinary and beautiful talent with his people. He spearheaded a number of youth projects in the island. He was, as Barbara Jacobs recently reminded me, "one of the main energies behind the Just Us Choir." Blaise and his family need our prayers, our embrace, our comfort and our love at this time. I ask that we give all that we can!
