Newsworthy is a sitcom set in the offices of 24 hour news channel, BTN News 24. The pilot episode follows an array of unusual characters as they try to get a massive breaking news story from the news desk onto your screens. High profile politician Joseph Goodfellow has been seen going into an expensive hotel with an attractive young blond who isn’t his wife. Kirsty (Anneka Nicholls), the director on duty at BTN News 24, is desperate to be seen onstage at the BAFTAs, holding up the award for News Coverage. Seeing this high profile story as a stepping stone to reaching her goal, she immediately drags camera-shy reporter, Derek (Fat Tony), away from a mediocre human interest story about a man suing the owner of a racist parrot, to cover the story. Hilarity ensues as Derek and his OCD cameraman, Michael (Josh Strutt), rush to the hotel and try desperately to grab the story before a competitor does...
