Next time you go camping and feel oh so awesome cause youre doing the primitive thing, and living off mother nature, no electricity and stuff to mind and bother you... imagine that you were obligated to do this with no end in sight. We spent 21hrs today without power for the 6th day in a row. Not 5 mins from here people have been w/o for 76hrs! Average temps are 95 degrees with 80% humidity, and theres no information from authorities as to when the power will come back for good, or what the schedule of temporary service is. So basically youre at the mercy of their judgement. More than half of the stoves here are electric because were also going through a huge cooking gas shortage, so cooking meals have become pretty primitive, with charcoal and logs, let alone being able to actually buy food, which is becoming a hassle since stores are running out of gas for their generators since the gas stations are also powerless... Does this sound like the picture of a thriving country to you? One that can afford to be giving away its oil, money and resources to others that are in far better conditions and that are not even Venezuelans to begin with?
