Next time you hit the supermarket, stock up on these healthy and tasty kitchen must haves, enabling you to live your life with energy and not fatigue... shared by Dr Mark Hyman. 1. Healthy fats: Avocado, olives, coconut, oils (grape seed, olive, coconut or walnut), seeds (chia, hemp, flax, pumpkin or sunflower seed) 2. Healthy proteins: salmon, sardines, eggs, turkey, chicken 3. Healthy snacks: Nuts, seeds or butters (cashews, almonds, Brazil, macadamia, coconut, sunflower, walnut), nori (seaweed), 70% or higher dark chocolate, nitrate free jerky and sardines 4. Fresh fruits including pomegranates, apples, pears, berries (raspberries, blueberries and blackberries!), passion fruit and avocado 5. Fresh veg. Hymans favourites include rainbow chard, asparagus, kale, arugula, beets, and cabbage 6. Fresh herbs like chives, parsley, cilantro, rosemary and basil 7. Healthy grains including brown rice, quinoa, black rice (forbidden rice), lentils and kasha (buckwheat) 8.
