Nice Super 8 color home movies from Woodstock, 45 years ago this weekend. I was 16 years old. Got my drivers license in May of 1969. My dad bought me a VW bus. We rebuilt the motor together so that I could go to the festival in August with three of my best friends. On the way home the motor blew on the VW in Vermont. We werent far from the NH border so we hitched hiked to Hanover, NH only to find that Sly & The Family Stone were playing at the Dartmouth College Field House that evening. (they also played the first day of Woodstock) We had enough money left to get tickets to the show. $3.00 per ticket. The next day, my Dad drove from Claremont, NH to Hanover, NH to pick us all up and head over to the broken down VW bus on I-89 in White River, VT. Had it towed back to Claremont, NH. We rebuilt the engine once again and sold it.
