Nice political/demographic article from the New Republic on whether Texas will turn Democrat anytime soon. Well, not this year, because Wendy Davis is gonna get clobbered. I see several problems here: 1) The Dems only get 20-25% of the white vote in Texas 2) The Reps get up to 40% of the Hispanic vote. So, demographically, the Reps still have the majority, even as the number of Hispanic voters increases in Texas.
