Nice to see Chief Hanley of the Rodeo Hercules Fire District, go after this grant since the Pinole City Council turned it down. Another resource in the Battalion will help all who live in the West County area. Ironically, it will help the citizens of Pinole whose council rejected the money as well, which is a good thing for their citizens. Automatic Aid is a great thing for the communities that share in it. Unfortunately, there are some who choose to take advantage of others instead of providing their share.
