In 2009, Victor Chike SaintMagnus linked me with positive life changing network in Ebonyi state.... when I Adedeji Sunday Akintayo was returning from Abakaliki to Lagos, I had a stopover at Onitsha to board a night bus to Lagos. I was very in hurry at Onitsha because I was meant to be in Kaduna northern Nigeria in less than 30 hours to lead my ginger commodity truck back to Lagos. The wild nature of the Anambra motor parks, miscreants, robbery as well as high rate of crime in Anambra then was alarming and grievous. The inhabitants of Anambra always lived in fear of open day and night robbery in those days... I showed the two guys that planned to steal my wallet in Onitsha that I was born in Lagos Island maternity hospital and na Lagos Island water I drank on my first day on earth. Since then, I was not privilege to travel to Anambra again but what I read in newspaper and heard from igbo friends lately is that Anambra state is now free and open society.... People now do their businesses in day time and stay late at night without molestation, experience loss of money, valuable items and banks do their jobs with peace of mind. Crime rate is zero and His Excellency Governor Willie Obiano is the man God sent to eradicate in totality armed robbery activities in the state. My friend Abolaji Ogunfuyi in London usually say, I should not commend our political leaders if they do good work, I declined always to his theory.
