Nigeria is a very unique country where a unitary system of government imposed by the military and their civilian Oligarchy cousins is being presented as Federalism. When the twin towers of the World Trade Centre were bombed by Al Qaeda in September 2011 there was no call for Governors of Americas 50 states to gather for a Security Meeting in Washington. In fact, I am yet to read in my little years on earth about an American president summoning/inviting state Governors to meetings. Anyhow, Nigeria will always be different. We should evolve a new dictionary for the true meaning of our brand of Federalism because it has NO relationship with the real thing.
