Nigeria is been ranked as one of the poorest in the world, with extreme poverty, behind Congo and Burundi by the world bank. Meanwhile, the country is loaded with all manner of natural resources, unequaled fertile land, cocoa, cola nut, fruits of divers kind, cassava, ground nut, millet, beans, coal, gas, oil and vast human resources. What an irony. A country of 167 million with less than 5,000MW of electricity (33,400/MW), what that means is, there is no light in Nigeria. South Africa with about 52 million people, produces about 45,000 MW (1,156/MW) which is around 45% of all Africas electricity and since electricity fuels progress, where are we?
