Nigerian Elections - I have steadfastly refused to read Nigerian - TopicsExpress

Nigerian Elections - I have steadfastly refused to read Nigerian Newspapers for the last three months just because I believe the election result will not change the life of the average Nigerian; definitely will not change my life for the better. For all of you who think Buhari is the next messiah I wont bother saying I told you so when it all goes belly up because he has nothing new or innovative to offer and the fires continue to burn brighter and larger all over Nigeria and for those who think Goodluck is better than a 72 year old former military dictator i wont bother saying I told you so when power is still not stable and Buggati have a franchise in the south south owned by a 16 year old kid. I know I should vote and care about these elections but when your stuck between a rock and a hard place its difficult to get energised. I wish you all good luck choosing the next president of Nigeria. Me - you might as well ask that octopus from the World Cup to pick the next president, for all the real meaningful change we will get from either party. Until and unless the political consensus changes and we elect leaders who understand the role of government is to govern and not to rule and an electorate that understands that their politicians must govern for we the people and not rule to serve their vanity and maintain the status quo of the political/socio economic class that exists in Nigeria which has ruled Nigeria since independence. And yes I belong to that political/socio economic class and where will I be during the elections.......
