Night Drive “Young Rivals” ow.ly/DrXTr (Video Premiere) Night Drive ow.ly/DrXVP is an Austin/Houston based duo formed by Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon. The project began after a young woman they were both unknowingly dating at the same time was killed in a car crash. The tragic event bonded the two men, and shortly afterwards they began a musical collaboration. Pretty surreal. Inspired by dark, synth-heavy electro pop, the duo debuted in the music scene in 2013 with debut single “Drones“, first taste of their first EP “Position“, released later the same year. This year, they made a step towards the mainstream market publishing their second single “After Dark“. They’ve spent this year writing and recording a full length album, due out in early 2015, while playing festivals and producing remixes for other artists. They are described as two secret agents on a mission, to recalibrate the future of electro pop. Their new single “Young Rivals” is a true test of this. It was released on digital retailers on October 7th via Future Wave Publishing. The music video directed by Mark Roethke was premiered on Tuesday October 28th.
