Nights like tonight make me remember and appreciate why I started doing what I do: To provide familiarity in otherwise hectic times, to be an interim family member, and to care for animals with knowledge, compassion, and kindness in their owners absence. I am passionate about what I do as a veterinary technician during the day and as a petsitter by night because I believe in what Im doing. I see real life examples of how it makes so much sense. I dont and will never make a fortune doing it and I dont care. At the end of the day the slobbery kisses on the cheek, the wagging tails, the happy neighing, the gratitude shown from families, and the hugs from young children thanking me for taking care of their furry family members makes it all worth it. I am so blessed by all of my patients and clients, and feel so lucky to be able to provide a deserving service where there would otherwise be none.
