Nina Turner COLUMBUS—Today, State Senator Nina Turner (D-Cleveland) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona: “The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision today reaffirms that states have an important role to play in elections, and that we have to get it right. In the 2012 election, we saw long lines at polling places, restricted voting hours, and suppression of the vote—particularly in low-income and minority neighborhoods. This verdict should be a reminder that we must work diligently to protect the voting rights of our fellow Ohioans.”
