Nini (3 yrs of age) is currently living in a rented boarding - TopicsExpress

Nini (3 yrs of age) is currently living in a rented boarding facility that our IPR walkers visit daily. She is walked 3 times a day, taken for car rides, given delicious treats, taught commands and given an utter abundance of love and attention. In spite of this of all this good stuff, boarding is no place for Nini. She is a healthy, high energy female that adores the attention of those around her and would prefer a home with no cats. Nini is also dog selective, in her previous home, she was tied to a tie out and attacked by the resident dog. To no fault of her own, this has given her a bit of dog anxiety. Nini is the last dog at our rented facility, a walker favorite and as sad as they will be to see her go, they will be overjoyed with happiness to see her cozy in a foster or forever home. Please visit rescueapittie.org to fill out an adoption or foster application for our sweet girl Nini! “Kennel (shelter) depression, also known as kennel crazy or kennelitis: Extreme stress: Symptoms of this stress-induced canine compulsive behavior disorder can include spinning and jumping in the kennel, chewing incessantly, and jumping and pulling excessively if on a lead... Other more depression-like symptoms may include self-mutilation, lack of appetite and lethargy.”
