Nkana and Kabwe Warriors have been fined well and good. But what do these fines actually achieve? Warriors for example have been banned from playing at home. But whats to stop Warriors fans who already follow their team long distances to beat the referee at an away game? The major causes of these upsurge in violence are not being adressed. 1. Poor officiating: This frustrates fans of which many travel hundreds of Kilometers to support their team and spend money only to be met with poor officiating. 2. Channels of Communiocations: Fans have got no channels on how to communicate their grievances to Faz and hence they vent their anger on unprotected match officials. To his credit he did a decent job. Fans have been complaining for months about the quality of offiociating by some referees. So its not a surprise that since they have no voice they are taking action using such means? So the fines and Stadium Bans wont achieve much. Warriors fans will still follow their team. Will they be blocked from attending away matches? No. So what lasting solution can there be?
