No. 3 and Part 3 in my series of the top five TV opening sequences - TopicsExpress

No. 3 and Part 3 in my series of the top five TV opening sequences of the past several decades... Whats truly amazing about this opening sequence is THERE ARE NO TITLES! Series creator and character designer, Bruce Timm, and Background Artist, Eric Radomsky (both, huge fans of the comics that inspired the show) believed that the main character and his world were so iconic and so well known that the images would be enough. Boy, were they right. In a series of flashing pictures and animation, the viewer is given a crash course on the basics of the Caped Crusader. In these images, everything that we have come to expect of the Dark Knight is revealed. From the firing up of the Batmobile from the confines of the secret cave, to the wraith-like appearance of our hero seemingly out of nowhere, this short 2 min and 30 second title sequence, from BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES, trumps even the whole running times of the many laborious live action films depicting this character in the past several years. No, no, no... THIS is the DEFINITIVE BATMAN! https://youtube/watch?v=v5nB2OJnCko
