No AK 47 rifle found in my campaign office’ A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Kayode Amusan, has denied allegation that an AK 47 rifle, was found in his campaign office in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. Amusan, a two-time member of the House of Representatives, cleared the air on Monday, while addressing newsmen at his Abeokuta residence. He argued that the rumour being peddled around about the incident was untrue, adding that only a licensed dane gun belonging to his security guard was recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives during the search of the premises. The former lawmaker insisted that his present travails was politically motivated, and warned his supporters to be wary of the antics of the agents of destruction. “Let me say categorically that the gun found with the security guard was a dane gun and not AK 47 as rumored in the social media. The security guard is a registered and licensed guard from the Vigilance Group,” he added. It will be recalled that the EFCC last week, sealed off Amusan’s campaign premises located on Oba Gbadebo Road, Abeokuta, following allegation of financial crime against the original owner of the building, one Mr Felix Oriyomi Ewulo. The anti-graft agency was acting on the order of an Ikoyi High Court presided over by Justice M. N. Yunusa, which gave an exparte order for the forfeiture of the property.
