No April Fools Day here..... 15 years ago today I was 7 months pregnant with Marc and was fighting for our lives with Thyroid Cancer..... 4/1/99 I had my Thyroid removed..It was Cancer but contained in my thyroid gland only and not any of my lymph nodes or other glands in my neck (one of the many blessings) the following month Marc was born by c-section ( another blessing).... The last 15 years have been a struggle with keeping my meds on track which can be hard to do.... fighting the weight gain struggle... back in the day I was alot smaller.... also fighting all the other autoimmune diseases that seem to go with Thyroid issues... But thru it all I give praises to my God for never leaving me and giving me these last 15 years...So many people lose their lives to not just Thyroid Cancer but all the other ugly cancers and diseases that are out there young and old.... I thank God for my life and Marcs.... my Husband Ron, my oldest son Matt.... I know it had to be hard for him he was 7 yrs at the time... and a very strong young man to go thru my diagnosis and treatment and sharing me with his new baby brother.... my friends and the rest of our family for their prayers and support during that time and still today.... My request today is for you to check your neck.... Male or female... Young or older.... The way they found mine was my doctor found it during a routine neck check.... Feeling tired, rundown, cold all the time, dry skin hair loss.... check with your doctor..Thyroid issues is one of the most miss diagnosed disease/cancers out there.... I am very thankful the doctors I had were very aggressive with my treatment from the beginning...
