No Hard Hat No Safety Belt Here ........ In 1981 I worked a Sunday on The Texas Commerce Tower a 75 story building downtown Houston Texas. Setting machine beams above the elevators that were going to service the 75th floor (top floor). That was the only day we were told to wear our Safety Belts on that job. There was NOT anything to tie a safety lanyard to. We were climbing ladders from the 69th floor up and walking I-Beams all day. Nobody tied off even once as far as I know. As I said there was literally nothing up there to hook up too. We all did wear our Hard Hats :)
