No Longer Punish Yourself for Being Human Judge yourself no longer for having and expressing “negative” emotions; judge yourself no longer for being human. Negative emotions are simply part of the human experience, and thus to deny them is to deny parts of yourself. You cannot live an abundant fulfilled life when you are constantly denying parts of yourself. We have been taught by the ego to judge ourselves as bad, not worthy or spiritual enough for having had or expressed negative emotions. But what peace has the ego’s teachings ever brought to us? Is it not time to stop punishing ourselves for being human? Negative emotions serve a greater good, and that is why we have brought them into our experience. When we learn to respect your whole experience we learn to respect our whole self and thus our need for self-judgment and judgment of others dissolves. Today we do not judge or invalidate our negative emotions; instead we see them as our own internal guidance system that is showing us where we are supporting the ego’s illusionary teachings as real. Today we do not run away or try to hide from our negative emotions, for as we awaken we no longer need to hide from the monsters in our dreams.
