No More Trains – 130th & Torrence Opens Today the 130th Street & Torrence project became a reality! At approximately 11:30 a.m. the new 130th Street (130th /Brainard) opened allowing traffic to freely flow underneath the railroad tracks which, for generations, have caused delays getting in and out of the neighborhood. Also open is the south leg of Torrence From 130th Street south towards the Village of Burnham. The work on the north leg of Torrence now begins and is inaccessible between 126th & 130th. The more than $150 million project will be complete Summer, 2015.
