No Offense Mom, But It sure sounds like Your Child is in need of much more structure at home. He plays you and you fall into the trap. EX: “Now Matthias, you know you’re not allowed to play with my keys,” Ms. Kendle said calmly. He continued to fiddle with them while making no eye contact. She warned him again to make a better decision, after which he looked at her more mischievously. Then he took the keys and ran. There is no 2 warnings when he knows he shouldnt do it! Your child is playing you and those warnings allow him to do jut that! YOU are the parent and you make the choses not he! He knows, but YOU continued to allow him to play you. He knows he shouldnt do it but did it anyhow until he got your reaction. And he is controlling you and your home which carries over to school who sends him home when he doesnt get his way ad pushes to the limit! And I am sorry but a 5 minutes in his room is not near enough---there must b other consequences! You could Learn some from a parenting group too. you are not in this alone! It takes time to take control of your home and child back--- but it should never be the other way around. Right now yours and his Environment is not healthy but it can be! There are parenting groups available to help you and they are much more beneficial than a PILL and an addiction to those pills!!
