No Victory Through Dead Works. Hebrews 6:1: Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, The Holy Bible confirms it. You can not gain victory over your sins through attempting to use dead works as part of your strategy. Dead works can not lead to perfection, it is impossible. All you do when you use a strategy of sin in order to eliminate your sins, by leaning on your own understanding, is you lay the foundation of repentance for yourself all over again. In other words, you create a new cycle of having to repent for your sins every single time you sin, even if you have a game plan in place for eventually eliminating those sins. This cycle can never be broken by using sin as a method, even if it is reduced sin, barely any sin, or using sin here and there, in order to try and work that sin out of your body. It will never happen, because you are using dead works to try and achieve victory. The only thing that is acceptable to use to eliminate your sins, are RIGHTEOUS acts, and nothing less. This means that for all sins, the only way to stop doing them is that you will have to stop them completely, cold turkey, dead in their tracks, RIGHT NOW, or, you may end up dying because of your sins, and the Bible has some very detrimental words for if you choose to do this: Hebrews 10:26: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:27: But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrews 10:30: For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. Hebrews 10:31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. The Bible also confirms, then, that if you continue to willingly sin, even though you have been saved by Christ, and received the gift of the Holy Spirit, that you will be cursed into a never ending fear of going to Hell anyways, and being punished by FIRE, even though you know that you have already been saved by Christ. It says in Hebrews 10:27 that this fear is certain to come upon any Christian who willingly continues to partake in sin. It says in Hebrews 10:26 that if a Christian decides to willingly sin after knowing that the sin is unacceptable to God, that there will remain no more sacrifices to atone for their sin, and their will be no way to escape from punishment and fear that will come upon them as a result. Hebrews 2:3: How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; Hebrews 2:3 states that there will be no escape for any Christian who dares to willingly sin for any reason by neglecting their Salvation even though they have heard that it was wrong to do so and had it confirmed by others who have been brought to know so by the Lord. Hebrews 10:28: He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Hebrews 10:29: How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:28 states that the punishment for any Christian who willingly chooses to sin will be greater than was the punishment for the men who chose not to obey Moses’s laws given to him by God. It says that the punishment for those men was death without mercy, which means a horrible way to die, and it says that the punishment for any Christian who insults the Spirit of Grace by willingly sinning even though they are certain that it is wrong will be even more severe than that. More severe than a horrible way to die. Than death without mercy. Aside from that, and even worse, is that it states in Hebrews 10:30, that God will bring vengeance upon any Christian who decides to continue to willingly sin. That they will be recompensed by the Lord. That it will be a very fearful thing to fall into the Lords hands to be disciplined. But that the Lord WILL judge his people for sinning. The Bible also states that any Christian who willingly ever gives up the Holy Spirit within them, for any reason whatsoever, will never again be allowed to receive it. It says that it is impossible for a Christian to inherit the Holy Spirit twice: Hebrews 6:4: For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Hebrews 6:5: And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Hebrews 6:6: If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. In other words, Hebrews 6:4-66 states that the Holy Spirit will never be put to an open shame by having to enter a person’s body twice because that person chose to give It up the first time. That’s exactly what it is saying. The good news? Giving up the Holy Spirit is a very hard thing to do. It would require a person to literally choose to hate God after being saved, a possibility for any Christian to do at any time. Why do you think demons are constantly trying to get you to blame God for certain things, even though you have been saved? They do it for this specific reason, because they know that if they can ever get you to hate God after being saved, and convince you to willingly give up your salvation by no longer wanting the Holy Spirit to reside in you, that you will have committed the unforgivable sin, for which there is never a way to be forgiven for. In other words, it’s a sure ticket to Hell, with nothing to stop you from going there. Matthew 12:31: Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
