No doubt,Since the use of fire wood as fuel is used by majority of Gambians to prepare their meals,it cause youths to go to the forest to cut down trees which is not doing any good to our beloved country, The Gambia. Yearly we lost about 40% of rain water because of the cutting down of trees in the forest.. And with the use of Solar cooker things can change and we will safe our precious nature forest trees. From experience and according to women in the Gambia cooking with firewood disturbed them while cooking their meals. Women experience many hardship with the use to fire wood for fuel and the following are the bad things experienced by women while cooking with fire woods. The smokes,heat,darkening their cooking pots and the smokes caused women to be coughing.... I created this page as the manage to Introduce Solar cooker to ease the difficulties my fellow women are facing in the kitchen.. But i cant do this alone without your full support... I need a fund to build structure in The Gambia where i can make Solar cookers and sell it to the various families at a lower cost so that every body in the Gambia can benefit from it. The picture of these fire woods below are fetched by my Brother,imagine with a solar cooker no body has to do illegal things such as cutting down the trees....
