No matter how much we try to acknowledge and unpack privilege at Union, one of the biggest struggles I encounter is the reality that the community does virtually nothing to address one of the most pervasive forms of privilege in Western culture: Christian privilege. In fact, more often than not, I feel like it benefits from and perpetuates it. And it is exhausting to feel like I am one of the few people that sits with it in every single moment in the community and almost never feel safe saying a thing about it. But thats exactly why I cannot stay quiet.
