No matter how well we educate and motivate our employees to vote, - TopicsExpress

No matter how well we educate and motivate our employees to vote, it’s important to remember that our work won’t count unless they are actually registered. It takes inspiration plus registration to increase voter turnout, and during this important election year, it is more critical than ever to encourage employee participation in November. Because millions of eligible, unregistered voters are your employees or work for your member companies, this is an area in which we can have a major impact. Inspiring our employees to engage, and helping to facilitate their participation by promoting voter registration, is a key step in ensuring the voice of business is heard during the election process. This year, the NAM has partnered with BIPAC, along with other companies and trade associations, for Employee Voter Registration Week, September 22-26, 2014. This week is an effort to unite the business community in a collaborative employee voter registration effort, to encourage private sector participation, and reach a combined goal of 100,000 voter forms downloaded. Please visit EmployeesVote.org for more information. If you are interested in joining the NAM and BIPAC as a partner in our Employee Voter Registration Week initiative, please contact Melissa Craig at [email protected] or (202) 776 7477. We are stronger together. In this united effort, the business community can boost employee participation and ultimately, help decide the future of our country!
