No offense to my relatives, my friends and former instructors who work there but this airline just gave me my worst flight experience. December 23 1200H Arrived at the airport for 1600H departure 1400H Finally got to check in due to high volume of passengers with a skeleton crew assisting all of us 1630H An announcement is made that the flight is going to be delayed 1830H Finally called for boarding 1915H Airborne 2010H Airplane makes a missed approach at PPS and proceeds back to Manila due to unfavorable wind conditions in PPS 2120H Landing in Manila, all they told us was to proceed to the check in counters for rebooking 2200H Still waiting for an airline rep to face us and address our concerns, the last flight to PPS was cancelled as well 2300H Rebooked for a 1030 flight the next day, we asked if they will provide food and a decent place to stay the night but all we got was a smile December 24 0000H Commotion in the counters as the other passengers thought the 1030 flight was a special flight to accommodate all of us but it wasnt, a lot of people got a much later flight 0600H After an argument with a ground personnel who cant read, were allowed to make an early check-in 1100H No update regarding our flight while other flights were provided with updates every few minutes 1115H Were told to expect boarding by 1200 1130H The flight suddenly gets delayed for 2-3 hours and they cant provide a revised ETD. Tired, we decide to go home and we ask for our baggage to be returned to us. They said it will take 45 minutes. 1230H They tell us that the baggage has been removed from the aircraft anf that the flight is now boarding passengers 1330H Were told that our baggage is in the terminal and are to be sent up to us 1400H Exact words of the ground crew inikot po lahat ng dapat ikutin, hindi po mahanap baggage niyo 1430H Thanks to helpful people in PPS, my brother confirms that our baggage is there, without us. 26 and a half hours of waiting, exhaustion, stress, and hunger in an airport that looked more like an evacuation center than an airport. Well at least from the side of that airline, PAL passengers looked like they were having the time of their lives.
