No one is immune to trouble. All of us experience difficult times. Some people ignore their problems, hoping they will go away. My Grandmother died of breast cancer 39 years ago. The sad thing is that she knew she had this cancer for a year before she went to the doctor. The fear of what the doctor would say kept her from seeking treatment, until it was too late to save her life. Ignoring your problems seldom helps. There are people who brood and sulk when they are facing problems or hurts. They refuse to talk about their issues and keep everything inside. Often that is like a boil under the skin that festers and abscesses. Not only does that poison your system, it produces unnecessary pain. Sometimes talking about your hurt releases a great deal of stress and pressure. (Find a trusted friend to talk to). The extreme opposite of sulking is the person who verbally spouts off about every problem they have, as if they are the only person to ever suffer. They complain and complain and complain to everyone who will listen. Their surgery was worse than yours. Their backache is more intense than anything you have ever experienced, and on and on and on. They wear out many unsuspecting friends. They frustrate to no end family members who do cannot get away from them. There are times when we are faced with real problems, problems that threaten our lives, the life of a loved one or even our family’s stability. Sometimes we are rejected by others or we have our feelings hurt. You fill in the blank here . . . sometimes your problem is ___________________. When we have these true problems, there may be the temptation to think no one understands. Your dilemma may be different from anyone if your family has experienced. Perhaps no one you know has ever experienced this same hurt or rejection or threat. In even the most difficult circumstance we have One who understands everything we are going through. Jesus not only cares, He truly does know how it feels. When no friend is nearby, Jesus is as close as a prayer. How blessed we are. JESUS UNDERSTANDS EVERY WEAKNESS OF OURS, BECAUSE HE WAS TEMPTED IN EVERY WAY THAT WE ARE. BUT HE DID NOT SIN! SO WHENEVER WE ARE IN NEED, WE SHOULD COME BRAVELY BEFORE THE THRONE OF OUR MERCIFUL GOD. THERE WE WILL BE TREATED WITH UNDESERVED KINDNESS, AND WE WILL FIND HELP. (Hebrews 4:15-16 CEV)
