No player scored more goals in World Cup qualifying than England’s Eniola Aluko. The Chelsea striker hit the back of the net 13 times in 10 matches, allowing her to join Scotland’s Jane Ross, Gaetane Thiney from France and Holland’s Vivianne Miedema at the top of the goalscoring charts. The 26-year-old is currently with the rest of Mark Sampson’s squad at St. George’s Park for an 11-day training camp as they look ahead to next month’s Wembley clash against Germany and the main event in Canada which gets under way in just 218 days.
