No scripture can be for private interpretation and you dont need to go to Biblical cemetery (seminary) to understand it. Here is some rules of interpretation that will help you gain understanding and also protect you from everyone who has their own ideas and motives for you. If people are splitting hairs lets find out what Gods intended meanings are by looking at how Jesus and the Disciples interpreted scripture and not add words to the bible or take words from the bible. Let the bible in one part explain the Bible in the other part. Lets have clear understanding of Spiritual Law that is eternal, covenant freedom and restrictions, and clear understanding of the Will and Testiments of the New Covenant which started when the Blood of Jesus went on the mercy seat and The Spirit of God was shed abroad in the hearts and Minds of Men. From the very start of your studies, I encourage you to approach the Scriptures with an open heart and mind. Be willing to change any beliefs and traditions you have held up to this point if they do not agree with what you read in the Bible. Above all, make the decision to believe and act on what God has said, even though circumstances, feelings, and well-meaning people around you say otherwise. Remember, God cannot lie. God stands ready to perform what God has promised in Gods Word for anyone who will determine to believe it God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?(Numbers 23:19)Always study the Bible with a prayerful attitude. Expect the Holy Spirit to reveal its truths to your understanding. Jesus said in John 16:13 that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth. The Lord has been sent as the great teacher of the Church, so look to The Lord when questions arise or greater insight is needed.Throughout the activities of your day, let your heart and mind reflect on the things youve been studying in the Word of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal ways those truths can be applied and practiced in your life. Such meditation in the Word will bring success to you in every endeavorThis book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8)As you study, seek to understand individual Scriptures in their context; that is, in light of the verses which immediately precede and follow them. Ask yourself who or what group of people is being addressed and on what occasion of under what circumstances. Also remember that any one verse or passage must be interpreted in accordance with what the whole of Scripture teaches with that subject. Doctrines cannot be built on isolated verses taken apart from the rest of the Bible. -Kenneth E. Hagin Copyrith5 1985 by Kenneth Hagin Ministries Jesus indicated that not even the smallest part of a Hebrew word or letter could be broken. Matthew 5:18 In fact, John Speaking by the Holy Spirit pronounced a judgment upon all who would add to or subtract from the words of the prophecy of the book (Revelation 22:18.19) The biblical writers base their arguments on a particular expression or a single word. For example, in Galatians 3:16 the apostle Paul cites Genesis 13:15 and 17:8 when God said to Abraham, Unto your seed (descendant) will I give this land not unto your descendants, plural. Pauls whole argument is based on the noun being singular rather than plural that indicates the Messiah was the seed (the only one) the passage was in reference to. Rene Pache gives a pertinent summary of this idea. We may agree with him that very often the meaning of a whole passage rests entirely on one word, a singular or plural number, the tense of a verb, the details of a prophecy, the precision of a promise and the silence of the text on a certain pointMore more profound examples of this is found when Jesus was confronted by religious leaders regarding marriage at the Resurrection. Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.we also have another evidence of this in Matthew 22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? The slightest variances to what was written in the scripture would have drastically altered the intended meaning of Gods word The RULE OBSERVED IS (in this edition Bible): Take the bible literally wherein it is at all possible; if symbolic, figurative or typical language is used, then look of the literal truth it intends to convey.- Dakes annotated reference bible by Finis Jennings Dake.
