No sign of instability, fear, or greed in a Good Shepherd Watch for these kind of snake-tricks... Made up words in your bible, like: PASTOR (a Latin noun) A pastor is usually an ordained leader of a Protestant Christian congregation. PASTOR - was superimposed over the Greek noun ποιμήν (poimēn) as shepherd and the Greek verb ποιμαίνω (poimaino) as to shepherd. The two words occur a total of 29 times in the New Testament, most frequently referring to Jesus. Paul wrote And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as PASTORS and teachers. Why Was It Changed There ? It shrouds and twists the meaning to: a position of leadership over HIS flock. Otherwise, anyone who has shepherded sheep would know that the SHEPHERD is a servant to his sheep. Not a leader but a traveler with, even rear-guard to be a comfort and protection. Only nudging them to graze for themselves, Gods green pastures. A Gentle Persuader out of Love for His flock. A standard and staff to be followed. No sign of instability, fear, or greed in The Good Shepherd. Not in service for profit, but loves His sheep, and will NEVER lead them to the shearer or butcher. Nor leave them in the care of a hired hand. Instead, bring them into His better pasture. So, PASTOR = Anti-Good Shepherd Anti-Anointed Messiah. Anti-Joshua - the son of Nun - Called The Shepherd of His people. Joshua of Nazareth - Son of David - The Good Shepherd of His people. (Num 27:16-17). So Joshua was their next leader, their next shepherd. Many Protestants use the term pastor as ... a job title. The use of the term pastor ... dates to the days of John Calvin and Huldrych Zwingli. Both men, and other Reformers, seem to have revived the term to replace the Catholic priest in the minds of their followers. In United States Catholic usage, the term pastor is used for what in other English-speaking countries is called a parish priest. The parish priest is in charge of the congregation .... he may carry out the offices of teaching, sanctifying and RULING with the cooperation of other priests or deacons and with the assistance of lay members of Christs faithful, in accordance with the law. Zech10:2-5 ....Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd. “My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the Lord Almighty will care for his flock, the people of Judah, and make them like a proud horse in battle. From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler. Together they will be like warriors in battle trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets. They will fight because the Lord is with them, and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.
