No, the executive branch constitutional officers didnt ask the legislature for raises last week. No, the legislature didnt offer to raise our pay. Yes, each year an independent committee recommends that the legislature raise our pay (and the pay of judges too). And yes, each year the legislature ignores their recommendations. I think the governors last pay raises was around 2007, so this process has been going on for years without change.
