No, they are just really patronizing, assuming America has all the wit and subtlety of Fox News viewers. I never watched this duo until now. She annoyed the living bezesus out of me. Is this vacuous chatter, this Joan Crawford wanna be, what passes for wit these days? I am less annoying than she is (and I have been told on good authority that I am pretty damn annoying). I got the set up with the first failed joke - he was to be the straight (although gay in real life, but you get what I mean) embarrassed one as she asked a series of idiotic, increasingly probing questions that were supposed to make him blush. So stupid. Did not work. Massive fail. Why the hell cant CNN just show highlights of the latest time zone ringing in the New Year each hour interspersed with the sort of feel good year in review crap that has become as obligatory as auld lang syne and mutual tonsil exploration (think about it) at this time of year? American television is really, really, really awful. I fear for my country of this is what passes for entertaining programming from the station that invented 24/7 noise - I mean news.
