#NoPainCampaign @FirehawkYoga DAY 7: QUEENS/KINGS DANCER Part 1 When Yoga is practiced along with correct breathing and proper alignment, you greatly reduce your chance of causing injury and increase your chance for healing. Patience, focus, concentration and precision are the skills required AND enhanced with consistent practice. These are also the tools to help keep the mind open to allowing the release of tension, pain, injury and dis-ease along with some of their causes such as fear, regret and self-hate. Dancers Pose is a test of the balance in your life as much as one of your physical balance. Stumbling goes with the territory as you learn, so embrace it! It helps to find a focal point ahead before beginning and follow it straight down to to your tow, and then come back up and out of the pose the same way you went into it. The standing leg must be straight but careful not to hyper-extend at the knee. Using the inhales to aid you in rising and the exhales to lower you help greatly in securing better balance and creating a nice flow through this pose.
