Last Friday, Seattle community members gathered to celebrate the newest Community Solar Project, on top of the Seattle Aquarium. Northwest Wind and Solar designed and installed the 49 kW Silicon Energy PV array, located on the Seattle waterfront, a highly corrosive environment. SunEarth Solar Strut and aluminum conduit were used to enhance the long-term stability and safety of the system. Community Solar participants all have different motivations for investing but all should know Silicon Energy offers an industry-leading 30-year power warranty, a Class-A Fire Safety rating, is Made in the USA and sources materials locally whenever possible. Check out the video put together by Seattle City Light, featuring some of the investors in the Community Solar Project.
