#Nobel #literature Tomorrow, the Nobel Prize for Literature would be announced. I read a promotion article on The New York Times supporting Philip Roth, even saying the last time an American got the Nobel was Toni Morrison in 1993. Funny how nationalist sentiments run into such an important prize. The Ladbrokes bets are interesting. There are acceptable major writers such as Haruki MUrakami who is also a great favourite of Koyamparambath Satchidanandan and there is the Syrian poet, Adonis who are on the Ladbrokes list. And we have the great novelist, Milan Kundera whos grown pretty old. But he was someone who influenced a number of people once. My hunch is that it might just be the Syrian poet, Adonis this year.
