When people are getting crazy about dumping a bucket of ice water over their heads, we decided to pause for a second and learn more about what the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is. Before enjoying applause and comments by your peers on social media, we seriously think one should understand the terrifying nature of this horrible disease as one of the biggest misfortunes in one’s life, as well as the fear of gradually breaking down and dying. So please learn more about this horrible disease, at least basics of what a person suffering from ALS is facing every day. If you take the challenge simply because your friend tags you and you have to “pay the debts (找數)”, without understanding the ALS and the purpose of this event, it will be a waste of water.
