Without any act of contrivance, l think this constitutional provision Article 60 section 11" (11) Where the President and the Vice-President are both unable to perform the functions of the President, the Speaker of Parliament shall perfom those functions until the President or the Vice-President is able to perfom those fuctions or a new President assumes office, as the case may be" this should be reviewed. Whilst out of the country, the president is recognised by this same constitution as the president of the Republic of Ghana, he is bound to make decisions and remains the commander in of the armed forces, so do we two presidents then? The contradictions are so glaring In the United States, whenever the president is away, he still exercises his functions as the president, the Airforce One which is an extension of he white House keeps him closer to administrative desk. I recommend amendment of this provision, what do u think?
