Normally on a Sunday from the months between August and February Im over the top with excitement for each and every Broncos game. This game today is huge! But today Im a frickn mess. One of the sweetest kindest happiest young men that Ive ever known died yesterday (in Laramie, where he was a student) doing what he did best, trying to help! There was a fight & he tried to stop it, he got pushed aside and his head hit the concrete. He was life flight(ed) out to Front Range hospital in Colorado but didnt survive. He was 21, has an older brother Patrick & they were best of friends! Ive been cutting their hair since grade school as well as Kevin (their father). This is still so hard for me to wrap my head around. Im at a total loss of words... Joe, like his brother & dad, was a great golfer; very very artistic and I remember how excited he was when he was out in the hills on his bike! Joe had a smile that would light up any room. We all had great laughs in the salon... Theres a brighter star in the skies at night ~ matches your smile. RIP Joe McGowan. :(
