Northern Mat & Bridge LP (NMB) is Canada’s leading Access Solutions Company and continues to grow. We specialize in providing temporary access structures and solutions while servicing primarily the oil and gas industry throughout Western Canada since 1999. We manufacture temporary and permanent bridge structures as well as 3 ply wooden access mats, and steel frame rig mats. Our products are used to access resource rich areas and allow the extraction of these valuable resources while minimizing the effects on the environment. NMB is currently looking for a Field Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. The Field Safety Coordinator is a safety sensitive position, requiring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Field Safety Coordinator must strictly adhere to all NMB policy, rules, and procedures and all provincial and federal regulations and laws at all times while working for NMB. The Field Safety Coordinator must set an example for employees, subcontractors, and clients. Duties include, but are not limited to: •Facilitate and/or participate in regular safety meetings, including daily field level hazard assessments, and hazard identification process •Train and coach employees and subcontractors on use of NMB safety program and documentation •Submit Monthly Field Activities summary •Provide incident investigations as required, with supporting documentation •Track and monitor hazard identifications, submit monthly reporting on hazard identification participation, and key areas of concern •Inspect employee and subcontractor training certifications •Promote NMB safety culture to employees, subcontractors, and clients Skills & Abilities: •Excellent interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills •High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office •Ability to lead and motivate employees and management •Must be a team player as well as a self-starter, able to work effectively within a group or independent Qualifications: •NCSO or working towards certification an asset1-2 years in a Field Safety Role •Have valid First Aid AB/BC (minimum Level C), H2S Alive, Wilderness Awareness •Have TDG/WHMIS/Flag Trainer •Clean drivers abstract No contractors please.
