Northern Tasmanian Regional U14 Girls Basketball Team U14 Female Regional Team Trials (For NTABA Players) Head Coach Malcolm Gardner and Assistant Coach Samantha Chilcott would like to invite all eligible female players born in the years 2001 and 2002 to attend the Under 14 Girls – Northern Tasmania Regional Team Trials Details of the trial session are: Venue: Action Packed Stadium (Elphin Sports Centre), Dowling Street, Launceston Date: Sunday 15 December - 12:30pm (Registration) – 3:30pm From the trial session a final squad of 20 players will be chosen for the 2 Northern Tasmanian teams. Please note that these teams may interchange depending on the performance of players. The final team chosen will represent Northern Tasmania in the 2014 Australian Championships, location to be advised. Ten girls will be selected from the final squad of 20 to attend the 2014 Tasmania Camp in March, joining players from the north-west and southern regional teams. They will receive expert coaching from regional/ state/ NITP coaches in Tasmania. Tournaments that the teams may participate in are: • Tasmanian Tri-Series – over two weekends (Launceston) • Nunawading Tournament – Long weekend in June (Nunawading) • Tasmanian Camp – Over one weekend (Launceston) • Australian Championships – Over one week • The A team may also enter into the U16 LSBL competition Items you are required to bring to the trials are: • Size 6 basketball • Reversible top – or one light and one dark coloured tee-shirt • Snacks – Fruit – plenty of drinks • Skipping rope • $10.00 for court hire If you are interested in attending, or have any questions, please contact: Malcolm Gardner 0447 044 748 or [email protected] or Samantha Chilcott 0400 364 737 or [email protected].
