Northsound Racing is now airing from 5:00 to 6:45 Thursday’s on FOXSPORTS 1380 KRKO Radio, and also on northsoundracing. Thursday’s guest list includes Jim Petit II, Ricky “The Kid” Dietz, Steve Beitler, Ron Bennett and Jeremy Anders. Here’s what we have planned for the upcoming Summer Showdown weekend out at Evergreen Speedway. We are honored to be able to broadcast both Friday and Saturday. The Northsound Racing that we would normally present on Thursday, June 26th will be moved to Friday June 27th from 5:00 to 6:45 live from Evergreen Speedway. On Saturday the 28th we will do a pre-race show on FOXSPORTS 1380 and northsoundracing from 5:00 to 6:45. After that, we will switch over to Classic Country 1520 KXA and go right to the Summer Showdown at the end of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race from the Kansas Speedway. I know this sounds confusing (and you’d be correct, by the way!), but with contractual obligations with baseball and MRN, it’s the way it’s got to be. The best way to listen to the Showdown race is to bring up the KXA website, which is 1520kxa and click on the “Contact Us” link. A window will pop up and then click on the Live Stream link. The race will not be on the Northsound Racing web site. Just the pre-race show. Ron Bennett will be up in the booth and both Jeremy Anders from the Wenatchee Valley Super Oval and King 5 News anchor Dennis Bounds return to Evergreen Speedway to cover the pits. Sheree Berg will roam the grandstands getting us reports and comments throughout the race. I’m super excited to be working with these people who have such a passion for the sport, and we plan on covering this huge race from all angles.
