Norwegian architects face now a clear choice whether or not to - TopicsExpress

Norwegian architects face now a clear choice whether or not to unite under one institution Norwegian Architects #NA and, in so doing, dissolve their existing seperate professional institutions. Despite the obvious advantage of being connected a larger and possibly more powerful institute, the model includes many unforseen disadvantages for Landscape Architects. If you agree with and value one or more of the rights outlined below I encourage you to #voteNO at this years Annual General Meeting on this point: - continuation of an independent, non-political and international voice representing the professional interests of Norwegian Landscape Architects for nearly a century, Europes oldest #NLA; - preservation of the freedom to choose your own union representation without risk of exclusion from the only remaining professional institution for all architects #Diversity; - continuing protection of the title of Landscape Architect and profession of Landscape Architecture as a totally unique discipline with its own history, diverse membership and interdisciplinary background #MNLA; - continuing development of one organisation that is able to unite all members of the Landscape Architecture profession, including students, and represent the discipline internationally as a member of #IFLA regardless of educational backround, political leanings, union representation and professional field of interest #Onevoice I encourage you to become an active member of NLA and engage yourself in what will be a historic vote regardless of outcome!
